our story

Local coffee shops have always been our favorite places in any given city.

From Tokyo to Vienna to LA, they are rare places where we slow down, connect, and build something — whatever that may be.

So we felt lucky when a friend asked us to help build an app for their cafe in Orange County. We had spent years building tools for restaurants and event venues at DoorDash & SeatGeek, and had seen firsthand how great products shape customer habits and loyalty.

Their shop deserved that same care, polish, and boost to their business, so we built DORI: our attempt to help local spaces deepen relationships, own their customer experience, and keep community at the center.

we've built with intention in the past.

Our approach for building software for indie cafés is informed by our 15+ years combined experience building tech for fashion brands, event venues, designers, restaurants, and more.

what we believe

opinions, baked into every feature.

Indie cafés are the heart of every neighborhood.

They're third places, daily rituals, first-date spots, late-night work caves. We build for that, not for chains looking for another lever to pull.

Community is the moat — not the marketing.

The shops we love aren't the ones with the slickest funnels. They're the ones where the barista knows your order. Every feature in DORI is built to deepen that, never replace it.

Software shouldn't make your shop feel like Starbucks.

Branded apps. Your voice. Your vibe. None of the soulless homogeneity. If something we ship doesn't feel like it belongs in your café, we don't ship it.

We grow when you grow.

We're not chasing a quarterly bump. We're building a tool indie shops can lean on for years. If you grow, we do.
